Windows based User GUI application and Serial Port Redirection Windows Driver
Platforms supported Windows XP, Windows NT, Windows 2000 and Windows 2003 server.
This program is used to redirect a serial port data traffic to an IP address + TCP port.
Virtual COM ports send/receive data from an IP address + TCP port.
For example when a program sends or receives from COM port 14 this data is transmitted to and received from IP address: [login to view URL] port 1234.
This Windows based application. Runs in a Dialog box. It presents the user with a limited menu of choices. The user can [Add], [Remove] or [Remove All] virtual serial ports. The dialog box includes a list of redirected serial ports, listing the COM port number, the redirected serial port's IP address and port address.
In order to add a new serial ports the [Add ] button is pressed. This brings up a properties page which allows the user to select from a drop down list showing the available virtual COM port addresses. Two other fields allow the user to enter an associated IP address and port number.
To remove a virtual connection the user selects the virtual connection from the list and clicks [Remove]. If the use wishes to removed all such connections [Removed all is clicked.
The virtual port assignments should be reestablished automatically after reboot.
Program should include install shield installation method.
Visual C++ preferred for GUI application. Source code expected.
