I need a user friendly application created to analyze data from simple surveys and define compatibility for a school fundraiser.
The surveys will be taken from students on a scanable form and transferred into simple database form. (excel,access) The information provided will be the students name, age, grade and sex. Also, the answers to 30 questions (A-E) from the questionnaire.
From the raw data I want to be able to match students \\\"compatibility\\\" rankings based on their answers. i.e.- students with similar answers close to 100% are more compatible.
The form needs to output:
School name on all forms
Function/club/organization who is sponsoring the fundraiser
Student\\\'s Information
Top 10 most compatible in school (all grades)
Top 10 most compatible in designated grade (9-12)
Top 10 least compatible in school (all grades)
Top 10 least compatible in designated grade (9-12)
Any other data that can be easily adapted from the results such as any other student with the same name, how many students in school are younger/older, how many days old you are, number of lists you appeared on in school/grade.
My aim is to have two forms printed per student. One for the entire school results and one from just their particular grade. The interface should be fairly easy to understand and manipulate such as the use of check boxes or buttons.

Ideally the program used is with common software such as excel or access but other that are easy to acquire will be O.K. also but run them by me before you decide to use that program.
Finally, a batch printing must be an option so all forms can be printed for each student.

Your project can be best done on FoxPro. As I have done several Data Entry software which are more easy to use in FoxPro (off course if you are not bothered much about GUI). After all the Result is what matters
I have more than 20 years experience on software development. What you\'re asking for can be very well done on Access. The database is very good and with the correct data modeling and well constructed queries you can extract what ever information you like. Dont doubt to ask any question. Please ignore this bid if the system has to read the data from the scanned form into the database. In case you have a system that can be plugged into this new system I\'ll be happy to do that.
Other than that I\'ll need the following information too:
1. Does this have to be web-based software or windows based?
2. How will the student and school information entered into the proposed system? Do you want to enter it manually or screen for the same have to be provided.
3. You have mentioned OS as Linux. Is this a typing mistake? If not then I\'m very sorry, but a not net project can not be implemented (as of now) on Linux.
Please provide answers to my questions as soon as possible. The bid amount and time might vary 10-20% based on your validation of my assumption and questions.
Apart from this we’ll also provide 30 days warranty to fix any bugs in the system. Although we promise to deliver on time i.e. 15 days from the start of the project, but in case of some unforeseen reason delay is caused the warranty will only start after the live date.

My price is per hour. This would involve creating a database and scripts or templates that allow you to enter and retrieve data from the database, such as using Cold Fusion or ASP (these are the scripting languages that I have experience with). Others are available, such as PHP and JSP.
