Hello,
I approach your script - whether a commercial, training or educational video, or video game characters - as a storyteller in the tradition of Garrison Keillor and Paul Harvey: I aim to get to heart of your message.
My voice has an expressive range that centers on spoken baritone / tenor suited for an emotional storyteller, as well as education and e-learning, ESL English second language, narration, and phone messages.
You'll find my voice to be like the guy next door, your next door neighbor, explaining how to fix a lawn mower, like a professor from your favorite class, and like a dad telling the kids to "keep it down back there!"
But don't forget that I'm classically trained, so if you need more sophistication, I can do that too.
What most clients ask for is neutral American English without accent.
I can also give you
Western: cowboy
MidWest: slight or deep Ozark hillbilly
Southern: slight or genteel
Transatlantic: like old-time movies
In addition, because of my years of experience in technology, I'm at ease with technical instruction, business presentation, corporate video, white board video, and other types of explainer video. I've read a lot of it and learned how to make it interesting with my voice. If you need to make your dry tech training come alive...
I'm Jim Rush. My voice is trustworthy, warm, and believable. I'm a Native North American English speaker with very clear diction, pronunciation and enunciation.
