I was a talk show host before becoming a freelancer. I studied French and Spanish concurrently in Junior High and High School, continuing all the way through my studies at Arizona State University. In college, I traveled to Mexico multiple times and spent one summer abroad in Paris, with a side trip to Morocco. All of this prepared me for the process of immersion learning. When I joined the Army, I became an interrogator, after learning Russian at DLI's immersion program, and then "converted" to Serbian upon arriving in Alaska, because of the possibility of troops being sent to the Balkans. I spent 12 months on the ground in Bosnia, conversing daily with the locals, and to this day, native speakers swear I must have Slavic roots, because they cannot believe anyone could learn their language that well without speaking it as a child. After the Army, I tried a variety of things, including running a translation service on the web (my website was called turbo-translator) prior to the advent of auto-translate buttons on websites. Eventually I settled in to life as a radio host, spending 17 years in local radio before building my own studio. I can translate AND dub films, books, whatever you need, and send the audio files directly to you.
Given the flexibility in my schedule, and the time difference (living in Alaska), I can make changes overnight to meet deadlines while other are sleeping.
