I have a half completed GUI written with wxpython for an engineering project as it can be seen from attachment 1.png. The code is basicly able to draw points(nodes) and lines and to put some other elements (points) on these lines. I want to be able to connect this code to any kind of GIS (Geographic Information System ) application to be able to add a GIS map behind the drawing canvas. It has to be done as soon as possible so time schedule is very important. the user adds a map it should get the coordinate data of the points and it should calculate the length of the lines. 2.
