This game is gangster themed, akin to The Godfather movie series or Goodfellas. It is more of a management/simulation game and therefore does not feature complex graphics or media, it is mostly based around the user interface. This project is already started and overally structured, you would help improve existing code and add new features to the game to complete it. It is written in C++ and Qml (qt). The game is based on 1950's colonial Hong Kong and features a motif based on Hong Kong culture, such as yin and yang, cultural dances and historical architecture. Gameplay will feature moving an avatar through an immersive level based on real life places. Enemies will appear in the form of gangster or triad members, which can be fought by a stroke input system that mimics Chinese character inputs. The game is designed to be short and level based, thus quality of graphics and control systems is highly emphasized here.
