Hi,
Need a seat booking plugin for restaurants.
Technology to be used: Wordpress, Woocommerce.
Few things to consider:
- Online table reservation.
- Each reservation has Start Date/Time and End Date/Time, table number.
- During this time frame, nobody else can reserve this table.
TABLES:
- Tables can be 2 seats, 4 seats, 6 seats, 8 seats.
- Customers does not interact with location of seats, they only reserve for X amount of people.
- Customers must be shown nearest availability of X seats table, or ask to spread it with 2 smaller capacity tables.
- Tables which are used to spread (or joined together) must be next to each other (so some kind of pairing requirements needed).
ORDERING THE FOOD:
- After table has been booked, customers MUST pre-order their food via website.
- Payment gateway MUST be used to secure funds for online orders.
EMAIL RECEIPTS:
- Must include all the above (table number, start time, end time, etc).
SOCIAL:
- When customer selects Table with X seats capacity, ask them to enter occupier name and email address.
- Use this email address to notify those person.
- Those persons CAN (don't need to, but can) click on a LINK and start adding items (food) to the order.
PAYMENT (GROUP):
- When each person completes ordering their food, give them option to pay _ INDIVIDUALLY _ or _GROUP_
- If they select group, than the CUSTOMER who initiated the reservation, is alerted that THAT seat has finished selecting the ORDER.
PAYMENT ( Individual ) :
- When each person completes ordering their food, give them option to pay _ INDIVIDUALLY _ or _GROUP_ (line copied from PAYMENT (GROUP) ).
- If they selected INDIVIDUALLY, they than proceed to checkout.
- Notify CUSTOMER who initially sent them the invitation link that they have paid for it.
THEN:
- Notify (email or on refresh page) initial Customer that all seats has finished ordering or finished selecting their items (food).
- Proceed to checkout.
BACK END (PANEL):
- Need a panel that shows overall what's going on.
- Need visual tables, seats, and on mouse-over show each seats details (person's name, order, time left, etc).
BACK END (STAFF ORDERING):
- The above back-end panel can also assign "walk-in" customers to the tables, by Staff (woocommerce manager, staff)
- Tables should NOT be assigned if reserved on line (or soon to be occupied).
- Staff should enter X amount of people, and for how long the table is going to be occupied for, and a table number is presented to them.
- In case of 2 joined tables, both table numbers should be assigned to them.
- Add start-time and end-time to table.
(similar to what customers are presented with on line)
Please use common sense and good logic to tie any leftovers.
