Currently enrolled in the Master of Science program in Electrical Engineering at California State University, Long Beach, I intend to pursue my career as an engineer. My major courses in Electrical Engineering include Digital Signal Processing, Audio Signal Processing and Audio Filter Design. Digital signal processing clarified my conceptual understanding of decimation-interpolation, sampling rate, conversion by rational factor, poly-phase structures, multistage implementation and of applications like sub-band coding and quadrature mirror filtering. Audio Signal Processing plays a major role in the field of audio technology, while Digital Signal Processing (Laboratory) has helped me
to strengthen my skills of MATLAB. Attending 2013 IEEE Workshop on Applications of Signal Processing to Audio and Acoustics (WASPAA) held in New Paltz, NY, USA, has enhanced my knowledge of applications of signal processing in
Audio-Acoustic technology. I also intend to participate in and attend the annual conference (Fall 2014) on acoustics as a student member at the Acoustical Society of America, which would help me explore my skills in the field of acoustics.
Besides participation, my research paper has been approved to be published at Audio Engineering Society’s annual conference in Los Angeles (October 2014).
Honored with Bachelor of Electronics Engineering from University of Mumbai, I have built strong and
sustainable projects in the field of electronics and music technology. At University of Mumbai, I was an active student member of IEEE, Signal Processing Society and also volunteered for a well known Audio Engineer. Besides projects the subjects in the College also helped me shape my interests. ‘Continuous Time Signal & Systems’ introduced the
conceptual foundation of signals and systems analysis and characterization in continuous domain and statistical signal processing. ‘Discrete Time Signals & Systems’ introduced the DSP processor and the concept of discrete time signal
processing as the foundation for further courses like ‘Image Processing’, ‘Speech Processing’, ‘Adaptive Signal Processing’ and ‘Filter Design’. Filter is an important part of any electronic system. This subject introduced me to the design of analog and digital filters, adaptive filters and multi-rate signal processing. My educational background and
volunteering experience has prepared me as an ideal electrical engineer.
My experience as Technical Engineer (Intern) at K-Beach Global Radio has prepared me to collaborate with and achieve actionable results through simulation of MATLAB and various sound design software. I am currently working on
implementation and development of Audio-Video systems for live stream and also assisting in the design and development of new studio for the radio station, which has helped me gain hands on experience in architectural acoustics and engineering acoustics. Additionally working at a global radio station has helped me to understand the
concepts of live broadcasting and radio signal processing. Working as a freelancer, I look forward to implement my knowledge and experience to explore new dimensions of broadcasting and radio engineering technology.
My previous work experience as a Development Engineer has helped me gain hands-on experience in the field of high-voltage electrical engineering. At DSL Enterprises, I developed the ability to think strategically and drove ideas into action, a positive outlook and willingness to take personal initiative. As a Development Engineer, I researched and developed switchgears and also designed a setup for high-voltage short-circuit testing. I was also responsible for Developer Guides for new versions of switchgears. Developing a short circuit setup for 10kA current and testing a device of such a high rating was a challenging task. The work experience with DSL Enterprises has definitely been the most
appropriate and useful introduction to demanding conditions in industrial sector. My abilities, to communicate effectively across cross-functional teams and support multi-track teams, while working collaboratively to deliver with quality on time, which I’ve skilled during my past work experience can be used effectively to perform the duties of an engineer.
