Ludum Dare Game Jam Competition
The Ludum Dare is a game jam - a programming and game design competition in which entrants create a game from scratch in a short period of time, in this case 48 hours. The game must fit a theme chosen at the beginning of the competition, and all assets (including art, code and sound effects) must be created during the allocated time. I have entered the competition several times, creating a different kind of game with each entry. I believe my entries are great examples of my experience in software development, game design, game development and to an extent, graphic design. The process also involves creating a functioning product within a short time-frame, debugging and problem-solving. With several entries, I have used Java as my platform with libraries including LibGDX, Box2d, LWJGL and Java AWT. I have also used Javascript with the HTML5 Canvas. I'm an individual with more than 5 years experience in software development, web and mobile app development and game development. I am also an expert in embedded systems and electronics, including software for embedded systems such as Arduino and Atmel AVRs.
