• Installation and configuration of Oracle 9i & 10g database on Sun Solaris, windows and RHEL 3,4,5
• Implementations, Maintaining, Monitoring the Oracle Data Guard
• Independent Administration of Oracle Database Server.
• Implementations RMAN for Backup and Recovery.
• Basic knowledge of Real Application Cluster (RAC).
• Monitoring of the Oracle Database Server to ensure database availability and smooth functioning of the databases.
• Checking whether all Databases/Listeners are available and running,
• Monitoring, Maintenance, Trouble Shooting of Oracle Database server running,
• Checking of Oracle alert logs and see whether there are any oracle errors requiring action,
• Monitoring of Oracle load, User sessions and Long running operations on the oracle server,
• Monitoring Oracle backup schedule and completion of backup activity,
• Routine checking of backup logs of previous day,
• Monitoring archived logs generation, archived log disk partition and archived log backup,
• Maintaining the Disaster Recovery Oracle Database Server at remote location through synchronization of archived logs on Production Server and DR server by auto/manual,
• Creation, Maintaining, Dropping, Monitoring of Locally Managed Tablespaces and addition/resize of datafiles to tablespaces,
• Creation of Users, Grant of necessary Roles/Privileges and allocation of tablespaces,
• Rollback Segment creation, management as need arises,
• Uploading of flat files into oracle tables through SQL Loader,
• Checking Tables/Indexes which needs more extents and to allocate space/reorganize/rebuild,
• Temporary allocation / de-allocation of tablespaces to users for large table/index management,
• Backup/Restoration/Recovery and Export/Import of Oracle Database,
• Export/Import of Oracle tables/users as required from historical backup tapes,
• Backup/restoration of Oracle Export dmp on users request to/from legacy backup tapes,
• Database/Schema/Table Refresh for Testing Database.
• Good communication skills because of the natural interaction with the clients.
