Design Concept Intended Idea Warm, Clean, Simple, Spacious I designed a study room for our client, Mr. Steven and his wife. Mr. Steven is an Executive of MTR. He likes reading and collecting figures. Therefore, he has a lot of books and figures. His wife is a photographer. She travels a lot and shows her portfolio everywhere. Firstly, the floor adopts Gold ivory hardwood finishing. It can make the room look more warm, simple, natural, and comfortable. It matches our client living habit, they like traveling very much. Secondly, as a study room, it needs a quite and peaceful atmosphere. So the wall is painted in white, making the room more tranquil. Thirdly, the use of this room is for reading, so I use a simple lighting set up, smooth and soft. Fourthly, I use a light material, i.e. lace, to make a curtain. Because it is a study room, the owner will stay in the room for a long time to read. It is good to have some sunlight shining to the room.
