Caxigo Network — Database conversion

VBA-powered Excel workbook:
• Scrapes information from websites
• Processes the data obtaining financial indicators, sets color signals
• User runs the processing steps from a Control Panel
• Hint of each step’s functionality is on-screen provided.

N.H.L. Contracts Evaluator

Developed this application for the Inventory Control office in a big pharmaceutical plant.
The goal was to provide a remote, real-time visualisation of the fluid levels in storage tanks.
▪ Data readings were captured at a pre-set frequency from Omron devices K3N* family, for I.C. to monitor levels for consumption by the production lines.
▪ This also spared maintenance personnel entering the physical annexes (considered hazardous areas by Risk Management) to read the displays on the appliances, and then reporting to I.C.
▪ Programmed in Visual Basic, the supporting database platform was MS-Access.
▪ Readings were shown on a web browser and optionally recorded onto a log file.

Fluid levels remote monitoring

Implemented using MS-OLAP cubes. Underlying database is MS-SQLserver, populated from mainframe databases via DTS/stored procedures. • The board depicted is part of a suite comprising the Purchasing and Inventory functions for the corporate high and middle management. • Visibility scope is restricted according to user’s administrative level. • I've done the database design and programming. The UI belongs to a commercial platform for cubes handling.

Ever dreamed of clicking on a list and, in a minute, you’re sipping the exact blend of liquors, nectars? I built the software side of it. • Scott, my employer, dealt with the electro-mechanics and fluido-dynamics. • We thoroughly tested the system down to the millilitre, Scott kind of being my robotic arms over the webcam. • Everything worked out well eventually, however I don’t save too joyful memories from those days... as we tested the artifact just using water instead of the real thing ;-)
