I have been given your details by WP All Import as I have a problem getting the adverts to go live when I import them to my classified site www.freeadsspain.com. Below is my request on the WordPress forum and the reply.

Can you help please and what is the likely cost?

I have built a web site called [url removed, login to view] using a template and I am really happy with it. I have one problem with it and that is I need to be able to import adverts from other websites using an XML feed. I have set up an import using WP All Import and it is gathering all the necessary information that I need and putting it into the database and the correct categories - This is where the problem starts. The adverts do not go live on the site until I physically go in to each one and simply press the "update" button - then it goes live.

Can you have a look at it please and let me have a quote for rectifying this so that when the import is done the adverts automatically go live.

Hi KJDaniells,

It sounds like when you click the 'Update' button your theme is adding some data to the adverts that is not immediately obvious. What you'll need to do is manually create an advert, and then go in to the database and compare the wp_postmeta entry for that post to an advert created by WP All Import.

Once you find the data that is being added by the theme, you can use the pmxi_saved_post hook to add the data automatically during your import. You can read more about using our action reference here: [url removed, login to view]
