Every single day, I scan a standardized text document that I download from the local courthouse website that has information about court cases in a very specific formula.
Every day, I scan the text document, deleting all entries except those with the abbreviation "AR" or "VR." I need those because entries with that abbreviation correspond to people who have JUST been arrested.
The only time I ever did this in public, I started speaking with a young man who noticed what I was doing. I was pressed for time, so I didn't really inquire further when he remarked that I could probably get someone to "write a macro" or a computer program to do for me what was very time intensive and labor intensive.
I have uploaded a screenshot of the text document. The program/macro would need to only extract the first and last name, the address, including zip code, and the AR or VR abbreviation.
