Open modal in external url via link

I'm not sure if this is possible, but I'd like to link to an external website and have the modal contact window open automatically. This stackoverflow question indicates it might be possible -

However the window I need to open uses a class, not an id. If you want the link I will provide via chat only. The website I will be linking from is wordpress, however I don't believe that would be a factor. Thanks.
