I am looking to have some simple PHP pages to include to existent Wordpress site. The idea is to have an online library catalogue to share books among local users. They will have the possibility to search a book and to reserve it. A user can also add his own books to the catalogue.
Main requirements:
* No need of integration with Wordpress, just standalone PHP pages.
* No need of beautiful UI, made it as simple as possible.
* Following functionality needed:
1/ A list of books available. Users can search and order them by columns. Excel spreadsheet look-and-feel
2/ A User can add a book he owns to the catalogue -> Step 1: he enters ISBN, if exist in Google Books API - we show the user the book(s) found. Step 2a: If the book is found and the User chooses to add one, he only needs to fill his name and his email to confirm. Step 2b: If the book is not found by Google API, User asked to fill book's Author, Name, Year_published, ISBN and the users's name and email.
3/ User can Reserve a book from the list. He needs to enter his name and email to confirm the reservation.
* User names and email addresses are not visible on the website. Used only when sending confirmation emails
* When USER1 adds a book to the catalogue, he receives an email confirming it.
* When USER2 reserves a book that USER1 adder previously, USER 1 receives an email asking him to bring the book to the next meetup, USER2 receives a mail confirming the book is reserved for him.
* Users never see each other’s email.
* MySQL database is available to store tables needed for this project.
* Database is needed to maintain booklist and to track book reservations.
* No Admin console needed. If needed the projet owner accesses the db tables directly.
