Fedex/RPS Tracking # Checksum

I need a VB6 or VB.Net class (or simple function) to validate FedEx Air and FedEx Ground (formerly RPS) tracking numbers. All the function needs to do is to calculate the checksum, check it against the tracking number, and return a value indicating if the tracking number is a valid for FedEx Air or FedEx Ground shipments. (For example, returning 0=None, 1=FedEx Air, 2=FedEx Ground). Please include a simple interface demonstrating the functionality.

If the function can validate DHL, UPS, and/or USPS tracking numbers, this would be a plus.

**Note: I do not know the formulas used by the shipping carriers to generate the checksum values,** however, I can provide examples of tracking numbers for FedEx Air, FedEx Ground, and DHL.
