I need a custom search engine to query search engine results and/or defined lists of sites, including all features and functionality listed below. It is the bidders responsibility to completely review my specifications listed here and ask any clarifying questions.
DO NOT BID if you have not done your homework.
Project includes complete web design of new site, logo design, all backend database work, all script design, complete email scripts, form handling, customer interface, ecommerce setup for payment (Paypal plus merchant account), membership/registered user area, all web pages, and installation onto my server.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT BID if you are not familiar with everything that needs to be done and are not completely capable of handling everything.
This project is for a complete turnkey version of a custom search engine. The bid is for the site to be created, installed, 100% operational, and include ongoing support.
The design should be clean and crisp with fast loading pages and minimal graphics.
I am open to suggestions for speed, form, and functionality enhancements to the idea model listed below:

1 - META version of search engine that pulls top 3-10 results each from Google, Yahoo, MSN, and Blog Digger (user definable number value)
2 - META version displays consolidated results on one page
3 - FIND version restricts searches to short list of sites
4 - FIND version allows for pull down menu of predefined site lists
5 - FIND version allows for user-defined site lists
6 - FIND version - Registered users can save their predefined lists
7 - FIND version results page can be emailed as html file
8 - FIND version results can be posted to on-site blog (admin choice)
9 - FIND version results can be auto-added to site as new or refreshed pages
Ex: Search for "home mortgage loans" creates a [url removed, login to view] page that's added to the site. That page is updated whenever another search for same term occurs
10 - FIND version has a search within results feature
11 - FIND version has a screen scraper to pull articles and content directly from a selected results page (check box option next to each result) and email it to user defined address. Scraper should only pull content, not the entire page.
12 - FIND version has a Remember My Searchs option for registered users. It will store previous search parameters.
OPTIONAL EXTRA FEATURES
13 - FIND version can also search within results for contact information, links page, add URL page, etc. (registered user defines info requested via checkboxes, pull down menus, or other easy methods)
14 - FIND version can also retrieve & post Google PR, Alexa ranking, incoming links count across various search engines (see Link Popularity Check tool)
15 - FIND version can also retrieve in-depth data on incoming links including anchor text used, % of links containing each phrase, etc. (see SEO Elite)
16 - FIND version can do it's in-depth queries against META generated results or a defined list of sites
Site design should include placement of Google AdSense and other advertising/affiliate offers within results pages. A MovableType blog installation should be included along with XML feed from blog.
A feature posting recent search results to the site and/or to the blog (via email interface) would be a major plus.
Free users features and functionality will differ greatly from those provided to registered users. Registered users will have a custom profile allowing them to define multiple search profiles, i.e. lists of sites they want to deep search such as article submission sites, blog lists, etc.
Must include multiple sort functions for results within a search category.
IMPORTANT NOTE: I have additional enhancements planned and some custom scripting and database work needed that is not part of this project bid, but will also be awarded to the winning bidder for a reasonable incremental price (fixed amount, not hourly rate).
I need this to work extremely fast like the major search engines. In fact, I would prefer a faster, more robust solution with increased searchability within strictly defined lists of websites, the ability to pull articles from pages and email them to users, the ability to set up a custom RSS feed of the output parameters defined by users, etc. See Google Alert for a simple way of doing this.
Other enhancements could include the ability for users to store/utilize multiple versions of predefined lists of specific sites to be searched for information, the ability to search within search results, and the ability to generate web pages for the site from saved searches.
There will be many more features added down the road. Please feel free to let me know how you will approach this project and if you have other good ideas for this website.
