Using existing open-source programs and by building new applications, create an integrated word processor tool that helps in writing scholarly papers with both secular and religious references. Tool will include the following components that will work independently and integrated with the word-processor:

Word Processor (like MS Word 2000)

w/ Chapter Heading Tool (like MS Word 2000 Outline View)

w/ Tree View Tool for Sources & Graphics (like Windows Explorer)

Simple Image Drawing Tool (like MS Word 2000 Drawing Tools)

Simple Photo Editing Tool (like MS Photo Editor 3.01)

LDS Scripture Search, Markup & Reference Tool (like GospelLink 1998 1.05)

Scientific Paper Markup & Reference Tool (like Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional)

Work will include:

1) helping to select existing open-sourced programs to use as the base for the new software (now),

2) developing new applications: Tree View Tool & LDS Scripture Tool, and

3) creating add-ons or plug-ins to integrate the tools Coding will not begin until January 2011. Current work will include selecting existing programs and pinning down milestones and specifications.
