Calculate Driving Distance

For a website I need to be able to find the driving distance from a given zip code to multiple zip codes which are contained in a MySql database.
I will want all zip codes returned which are within a given driving distance of the given zip code.
There is no Google Map displayed on the site.
I have the database table containing the Zip Codes to search and already have the function working for zip code to zip code distance but I need it to return the results for driving distances instead. My current search is based on Longitudes and Latitudes for the Zip Codes.
These calls will be made via Ajax and need to be quick as there could be 40 or 50 Zip Codes found within the given distance parameter.
These Zip Codes are all in the continental U.S. and the given Zip Code will also be in the Continental U.S.
For someone who has done this before it shouldn't be a problem given that I can supply the MySql table of Zip Codes and whatever information you might need.
Please be proficient in spoken English as I don't want us to have problems understanding each other when we speak.
