We are looking for someone to programme a smart phone App that will be designed by students as part of a History project.
Our project is called Tour Towns and it is a Heritage Lottery Funded project where young people produce a guided tour of their town. In this case, students will design an App Tour of Letchworth.
Our budget is quite small, but we still want the final result to be of high quality and something the students will be proud of.
As I am working with a school, it will depend on what the students will want (this will hopefully be achieved in the run up to Christmas), but the functionality will be along the lines...
- Splash Screen: Historical map of Letchworth and introduction about the app and automatic entry to the app
- Basic map of Letchworth with specific points plotted.
- A single route should be plotted on the map (circular route)
- At each point there should be text information and a historical photograph - possibly an option to find out more- button for finding further /detailed information
- If possible to use GPS to make sure the user can track that they are going the right way
- 'Completed screen' thanks and for further information external websites
This is not a strict guide, as aspects can be changed (I will happily receive any advice to what will work well).
