Fix Mysql server not working

We have a dedicated server using centos yetserday we killed a process which was using all server cpu and did a graceful reboot after - however after restarting of the server service mysql is not starting showing this
ERROR! MySQL server PID file could not be found!
Starting MySQL. ERROR! The server quit without updating PID file (/var/lib/mysql/[login to view URL])
We need to restart mysql and get all our sites back up and running again with the same database currently they are using.
We need someone to check this urgently asap
All work done to be done via Teamviewer session
the server will be monitored for week upon fix and then if not issues occur job will be completed.
