Dear freelancers,
We are a small Services & Solutions company focused in Renewable Energy; small now but with an eye in the future, planning to span our portfolio over other countries. Yeah, we think big! Our products and services help to conserve energy, to use energy efficiently, and generate clean renewable energy. We seek to inspire, educate, and assist our clients in achieving their goals of cost stability, energy independence, and environmental stewardship. Mainstream’s mission is to lead the global transition to renewable energy. While it’s no small ambition, our vision of a world without fossil fuels is already evolving and transforming the way we live. Our part to play in that transition is to deliver cost effective utility scale renewable energy to customers and governments through our set of cohesive company values.
We have an ambitious Project for the bravest. As a lean startup we need to define our image and that is what this Project is about: define our logo and identity guidelines.
Basically the guide should have the following items (not limited to):
1) Define logo and elements
2) Colour brand identity:
2.1) Master colour brand identity: to maintain brand consistency, this version of the identity should be used whenever possible
2.2) Acceptable alternatives: colour versions of the identity can also be used as alternatives to the Master when the identity sits on one of the brand colours.
2.3) Mono version
2.4) Whiteout version
2.3) Define RGB and Webhex
3) Exclusion zone: area around the identity equivalent to the x height of the suffix. This is the minimum area around the brand identity to be left clear of all other elements, such as text, straplines, titles and other logos or identities.
4) Minimum size without loss of legibility
5) Typography and alternatives
6) Photography: The photography we use should portray innovations and actions – the people, places and things that are transforming the region. While human interaction brings more interest to a photo, a landscape image reminds us of the larger environmental impact we are making. Some guidelines for photography include:
• Show people in action and faces
• Market transformation in action
• Emerging technologies in action
• Embody the entire region – big cities, small towns and rural landscapes
• Highlight actual projects and successes
• Occasionally utilize color, gradient and pattern overlays to create visual interes

At the end of current Project we will obtain:
1) logo in vectorial format;
2) typography and alternatives (TTF files or equivalent), either created from scratch, modified or original (but untied to any copyright or free to use);
3) website (not complex one, just to show us to the world; enhancements will be for next Projects like this one for the chosen freelancer) well seen in mobile devices as well;
4) photographies used untied to any copyright or free to use;
5) icons set, either created from scratch, modified or original (but untied to any copyright or free to use);
6) identity guidelines
Important: we want to avoid be other "green palette" company. Green is not forbidden, but we would like to go a step ahead and be innovative.
How will we chose who will do the job? It is simple:
1) send us a link/sample of the chosen palette you will use;
2) send us some samples of already done jobs. Please, do not flood us with tons of stuff, just send some to delight us
