Design a Website Template for a Text Based Game

I am looking for someone to design and create a website template for a game I am writing. I have 25 years experience in Microsoft technologies such as SQL, VB, ASP, C#, VB.NET, Winforms etc but I am no designer and I am no UI expert (In fact I have zero talent in that field)
I have a layout in mind which is illustrated (very crudely) in the attached jpg. This is not mandatory and I am open to suggestions. Here are my requirements:
The layout must be a lightweight and as simple as possible while retaining a catchy look and feel.
The template must be "themeable" IE. I want the user to be able to choose from a list of colour schemes
It must be cross browser compatible.
It must adhere to industry standards and best practices.
In the layout suggestion attached is a content holder. I will also need a designs to display tabulated data here.
Above that I am flexible an open to suggestions.
