This project involves intelligent data entry (but mostly copy-paste) for sustainable travel-related listings. Our web crawler has gone through the web and made bare-bones listings of many travel-related services. These listings have a URL attached to them. Your job is to go through these bare-bones listings and populate them with data from the corresponding URL. You may also be required to categorize and distinguish which listings may be considered inappropriate (full details of this will be furnished upon job acceptance).
The kind of entries that need to be made are "description", "pricing", "conditions", "location", etc. Some of these URLs may also contain photos. You will need to select good quality photos and add them to the bare-bones listing when appropriate. Listings with photos pay more.
In order to do this job, you will need a broadband connection and Firefox browser (other browsers work also, but may have quirks - at your own risk). You will be provided with an online spreadsheet with links to the various bare-bones listings and with access to edit them. The URL will be contained within the listing. Once a listing is edited, it will automatically be sent for review by an administrator. The admin will determine if the listing meets quality standards and payment criteria based on the fullness of the listing. Here are the criteria we use to determine "fullness":
1. Description length and quality of content
2. Pricing data
3. Categorization appropriateness
4. Details specific to the listing category
5. Quality and quantity of photos
6. Location: City, region, country, GPS
Payment is calculated per listing. It takes typically 2-3min to complete a listing and maybe a couple more mins if photos need to be uploaded. Payout per listing is estimated between $0.25 - $0.50. If you can create a high quality listing every 5min, you can earn $6/hr. If our company picks up, there may be many more opportunities in the future.
For this project, there are 500 listings to populate.
