Share an App using a workspace for Multi User

Presentation:

- We have a software management app which is installed on a Windows 10.

- This software does not have network/multiuser acces features.

- DEMAND : We need to be used by 2 users from distance.

The solution proposed by the manufcaturer of app:

"You can set the Data Folder

(we called it workspace in App X) to a network drive/shared

folder, so that App X from different computers can access the same

"data".

In App X, you can set your workspace in menu "File > Switch

Workspace". Click [+] button to create a new workspace, and choose the

workspace folder (from your network drive/shared folder) by clicking the

[Browse] button.

In App X of other computers, you need to setup the workspace too.

In menu "File > Switch Workspace" and click [+] button to create a new

workspace. But you need to choose "Connect existing workspace" first and

then click the [Browse] button to choose the same workspace folder as

before.

After that, different App X are pointed to the same workspace

folder (that is located in network drive/shared folder).

There is one limitation of this approach, different App X cannot

access at the same time. As the database is locked when App X is

running, other AppX can only be run in Read-Only mode.
