sip-skype-pstn network design and implementation

here are the network requirements:

Calls from PSTN -> to SIP gateway -> ask for destination -> connect to IP Phone_or_Softphone (note: each IP phone/softphone will be configured with a DID 1-555-xxx-xxxx)

Calls from Skype -> Skype to SIP gateway -> ask for destination -> connect to IP Phone_or_Softphone

(skype to sip is either hardware or software)

Call from IP phone -> ask for PIN -> ask for destination -> Skype? Send to skype gateway. SIP? Send to net2phone (note: how do an IP dial to a skype account using a translation table? How the user can enter the translation using web interface?)

All calls go through MBB_SIP_Server

Incoming, SKYPE->SIP and SIP->SKYPE calls are charged 10c/min to call receiver PIN (if no money on PIN the call does not go through)

Other calls are charged by a rate table

The job:

create a network diagram

recommend hardware vs software implementation of gateways

recommend cloud vs hardware as a host

recommend linux vs windows OS

budget the implementation

Note: the project should use free skype accounts and NOT Skype DIDs or Skype’ SIP-trunks
