We’re a custom paint and body shop for vintage exotic/classic cars and motorcycles. I would like my family crest modernized to make a logo more suited to today but get all the key details/symbolism into the logo/crest. The armored arm with the broken spear, the three bugles, the single chevron stripe, the knight head and flourishing are the key points along with the shield being the centerpiece. The picture provided is a very old illustration which you can see doesn’t make a good condensed emblem. Its very spread out. Everything can be restyled to the artists discretion. I think the only other direction I can give is to think about modern European football club crests and automobile manufacturers emblems.
