  Hello everyone! Thanks for the many submissions. Im sorry I couldnt extend the deadline further, but I had to get this finished up. Ive reviewed all the entries and gave careful consideration with some help. Ive picked out the entry that I think best fits what I have in mind for the encounter.   Hello everyone! I've seen some promising entries so far but I think I ought to clear a few things up.
  
  In this encounter our heros are looking down the passageway where two efreet are advancing from. If you read the description of the encounter (labeled "Escape the Dungeon"), you will see that it mentions the voice of the evil wizard Keraptis giving a monolog. After the contest is finished, I intend to add this over the scene. So the adventurers should be standing, dreading the incoming fight with the efreet. (more in Reply)

     The last thing to mention is the animation. The speech from the wizard takes about  45 seconds so choose the 1 or 2 things that you want to animate with that in mind. Remember the heros are standing still while all this is happening.

     Another important detail is the lighting. The entire dungeon takes place within the caves of a volcano. If you have ever been inside a cave you know it can be pitch black! So with that in mind there are two forms of illumination to choose from, magical or torches. One of the descriptions says any torch light will give off a lot of smoke. If you want to use magical lighting there are a number of light spells to draw inspiration from.

     Dancing Lights (https://www.dndbeyond.com/spells/dancing-lights)
     Produce Flame (https://www.dndbeyond.com/spells/produce-flame) are three examples. It might be cool to have the efreet only partially lit, with the rest obscured to terrify the imagination of the adventurers.
