  @markm. That is a historic artist, he was known for his dramatic lighting, this is heart wrenching as relieved I am that I did not participate and waste my time, I can't help but sympathize for the ones who worked on it for about 2-3 weeks.

     Hey, Riya - It's not great, no two ways about it. The problem here though - as usual - is the entry was Sealed. As long as the platform continues to allow the practice honest workers and Contest Holders alike are going to to remain hostage to dishonest people who would take advantage of basic, human trust. Unfortunately, wherever one goes, the same system remains in place. Sealing in completely unnecessary As soon as work is entered in a Contest all rights on the work are automatically assigned to the entrant, providing it's their own work. Sealing serves no protective purpose legally whatsoever, all it actually does is increase repetition of ideas and generate revenue for the platform. Nobody actually benefits from it other than those who would take advantage....

     For an honest worker submission all of itself provides all the legal protection and proof of personal ownership one could possibly need. Anyone copies your idea, everyone can see it.
     
     So long as people are allowed to (basically) cheat, outcomes like this will always happen - especially if no one's checks the work prior to releasing payments which, clearly, in this case, didn't happen.
