'The Cobbler and the Dragon'
Watercolour and ink illustrations from polish folk tale project. "The Cobbler and the Dragon" is a story about a peaceful kingdom being attacked by a dragon living in the cave under the castle. The story tells that dragon being bored of eating sheep has demanded a princess. Many tried to kill the beast but only cleaver cobbler did. He stuffed a sheepskin with explosive powder and left it nearby dragon's cave. A fire breathing beast swallowed it and not being able to put out the fire inside its belly was defeated.
About Me
I am an artist working both with traditional media, such as ink and watercolour and on Photoshop. I always try to capture the essence of a story within few illustrations. A Passion for legends and folk talles, led me to illustrate for polish stories that I grew up with. The lightness of linear drawings against white sheet, and traditional style I chose to work in, bring to the reader clarity and space needed for creativity of mind and an imagination. I believe that the best results come with a mutual understanding and cooperation with the client. Dedication, needing to develop, enthusiasm and a thrill for new projects are always a part of my work.
