I have a professional qualification as a Media-Designer from a Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Germany, have been designing print and web products for ten years now and have never stopped learning during this time. So my most important concern is: "keep it simple, follow the requirements of my customers and supply the highest quality work". I can work to tight deadlines. I have been self-employed for ten years, travelled a lot and seen a variety of different styles of design that have given me a lot of experience and ideas. My motto is “better less than more", I therefore prefer clear design and use typography as simply as possible to respect the medium and topic of the project. My work has improved with the years. I love designing in Flash, in which I have done most of my websites. Programming in HTML is always a pleasure, too. I can mix all sorts of techniques, such as videos, sounds and animations to make the project more lively, but user-friendly. Lately I discovered content management systems and have begun a city-portal with B&Bs, restaurants of all sorts and leisure venues for Durban. Using shop systems, I have also set up an internet shop for a bookseller. Though familiar with the most frequently-used programmes to design my work, I can also apply up-to-date software skills as this is usually the best for the client. I have produced websites, flyers, visiting-cards, brochures and a cd and put a selection of my work on my website. Too keep the costs as low as possible, I work from home. Having a lot of very essential contacts with other freelancers of all fields, I can handle much larger projects than with my own skills only. So, if I reply to a request for offers, I am also able to call on collaborators to fullfil the requirements.
