I have been working in the L10n and T9n market since 1989, both as translator as a Project Manager, Country Manager, and other tasks. Please, see below a summary of my skills: -Knowledge of translation, multilingual desktop publishing, website and software localization project management. I am translator from Eng, Fren, Germ, Italian into Spanish, with very good oral and written skills in all those languages. Also, I have been learning for three years Arabic language. Regarding multilingual DTP, I have been doing this task with software suites like InDesign, FrameMaker, QuarkPress. I am skilled in the use of SDL Trados 2007, for the conversion, management and delivery of complete set of projects. As I often say , I have known Trados since its earliest versions for MS-DOS. I have worked and have experience with Alchemy Catalyst, and other CAT tools. Please, ask me for more details if you consider it necessary. -Working knowledge of standard Microsoft Office software. All my work has much to do with working with the main Office applications: Word, Excel and PowerPoint are three of the most used tools for the delivery of translations, management, convey of instructions, etc. -Fluent in English. I am fluent in English, French, German and Italian, as I said earlier in this message. -Bachelors degree with more than twenty years of experience in translation, localization or internationalization. I have a degree in Chemical Sciences, speciality Biochemistry, finished in 1989 in the Universidad Complutense of Madrid. By then, I started working in the t9n, l10n and i18n market, doing scientific and very specialized translations for several agencies. -Experience establishing project definitions, scheduling, working with in-house and contract resources, meeting deadlines and using translation tools (for example, Trados suite of tools, HTML tools, etc.). During last 15 years I have been working as PM and Country manager for a German Company (you can see it in my LinkedIn profile), performing the mentioned tasks.
