IT Developer, IMASS Ltd, Northumbria House, Regent Centre, Gosforth, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE3, website : [login to view URL] I got accepted to work as placement student in IMASS. My task was to work as a Developer, mainly working in VB and .NET technology especially with ASP.NET, and a little bit on C, Access. In my placement time I have been: + Producing small tools which are written in Visual Basic 6, to used for Fire and Police systems. + Doing development, maintenance task featuring a number of core system components in VB, C and SQL. +Involving in pre-sales activity, producing several Web-based Prototype using ASP.NET, and MapxTreme. + Doing research, prototypes, estimate on small projects with mobile technology using .NET Compact Frame work , VB.NET + Designing and writing on an Web-based GPS-enabled system with mobile data using technologies like: AJAX, ASP.NET ( mainly written on VB). This has been a really successful project as there were many customers, who have been interested in it. After the contract has finished, I got extended some more time to finish the project. This was a much valuable year for me, I was pleased to be considered a value member of the company. I also have gained much experience in not only technical side but also the business side of IT real world development.
