I have worked on 3 large projects at this company, 2 of which are still being actively developed. The first project was a cost control system for Oil & Gas companies named Well Tracker requiring the use of .NET and many related technologies like WPF, Entity Framework, Linq, SQL CE, Sync Framework, and SharePoint Web Services, that had many advanced and useful functions for data aggregation and presentation. Well Tracker was built to be an occasionally connected application with users in the field making changes without an internet connection and syncing those changes with a remote server when they had internet access, which was assumed to be unstable and periodic; there were many contingencies built in to prevent data loss. My second project is a project that is still actively being worked on by myself and a team of 3 others named WellTools. It is currently a Silverlight application that provides advanced functionality for Petroleum Geologists. It uses Silverlight with RIA services and the entity framework for the client, and Windows Azure, ASP.NET, WCF, and SQL Server Azure for the server. The latest project is a WPF desktop application that aggregates live data from a stream that is produced from mining instruments, one of which is known as a hyperspectrometer. There are a few steps to achieve this. The data is generated by the PI software from OSIsoft. We leverage the cloud to process this data and update SQL Server, where we then have the application constantly checking for new information to aggregate. All of these projects leverage .NET.
