Freeze The Atlantic - Speak Easy
Freeze The Atlantic are a 5-piece Punk indie-rock band based in Northampton, UK. -- I was tasked with creating their next debut album "Speak Easy" for the band which included an identity and artwork for their first album. After meeting with the lead singer of the band 'Chris Knott' I tried to get an insight into what the band were about, ther musical influences and what they hoped to achieve with a new brand identity. It became apparent that their unique and quirky style warranted an illustrative approach that would define the band with their own style. The 'robot' concept came about after toying with a few ideas. The band loved the concept of a random and quirky design that in their words simply looks "cool" after a few tweaks we managed to create an iconic image for their debut album. -- Branding was also created using simply clean type so not to detract from the illustration. The colour pallet used light shades of blue to match in with the illustration.
