KAUST Breakwater Beacon
This is called \"KAUST Breakwater Beacon\". situated at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology Saudi Arabia. Basically it\'s a tribute to the Daniel Tobin, Matthew Tobin and Jamie Perrow of UAP Principal (Australia). who are the design team of the project. Beacon’s complex structure is a collection of unique amorphous hexagonal sections stepping up out of the Red Sea into an elliptical spire. It inspired me from first sight, So I copied it in Solidworks. and during this exercise I explored and learnt more than I thought about both Beacon and Solidworks.
About Me
I am a certified Solidworks professional - Mechanical Design with advanced certification of Drawing Tools, Sheet Metal, Mold Design, Weldments and Sustainable Design Associate. I have also good command in AutoCad, ProE and Catia and 18 years hands on experience in 3D printing (Stratasys Poly-jet J750, Fortus 400mc & dimension bst 1200es + several bench top 3D printers ) & CNC programming/machines operations turning/milling centers Wire & Plunge EDM, Laser cutting etc ( Fanuc, Sinumerik & Hurco controls ). I offer my services for 3D part design, assemblies, manufacturing drawings, rendering and design for 3D printing. Bill of materials (BOM), design for manufacturability DFMXpress, finite element analysis FEA and geometric dimension and tolerance (GD&T) are areas of expertise as well.
