Event Invitations
This was a self-generated type experiment inspired by my time in New York where postcards to events and gallery showings were always a pleasant find in cafes. The concept was to use a single typeface, without any form of graphics or images to avoid distracting the audience from the event information, and to stand out from the rest of the postcards. A series of party invites created for a block party in Bushwick, Brooklyn. The concept was to keep the invites casual, family-friendly yet relevant to the charms of a once-industrial backwater neighborhood that has since undergone gentrification in recent years. Hence, the graphic is kept slightly grunge looking.
