I am a Senior Enterprise Web Application Architect and Programmer with over 15+ years in the information technology field, specializing in building and managing Enterprise-Grade, Scalable Web Applications and Infrastructure Systems. I am just as comfortable in the War Room with the Developers and Engineers as I am in the Board Room with the Executives. I am a true leader, equally capable in both architecting enterprise-grade Web/SaaS infrastructure systems as well as leading the development of new and custom Web applications throughout the SDLC -- including front-line programming and interface design. My areas of expertise include user-centered application design, optimizing performance in high transaction processing environments, scalability, security, disaster recovery, and high availability within mission-critical environments. I have steadily moved into positions of increased responsibility earning a Commission in the Marine Corps, and then the positions of Director, CTO, and CIO. I have built and grown World-Class data centers, led the creation of over fifty custom applications, and took a company from start-up to $50M in revenues in four years. I am also a founding member of the Carolina SaaS Users Group, and an expert in Human Factors in Computing. <br><br>I have been doing ColdFusion/MS-SQL/AJAX/Flex contract work full time for over 4 years now (since September of 2006) and have had zero work gaps (at least 40 hours billable per week non-stop). I have a Human Centered Design and Engineering degree from the University of Washington, and creating user-friendly, rich experience Web applications that solve user and business problems is my passion and my craft.
