Witness Consumer Awareness Poster
Client: Witness Project: Public Awareness Poster Campaign Brief: To design a series of typographic posters to bring awareness of human rights issues from around the world. Execution: My intention in these posters was to tell the story of the human rights abuses that occur throughout the world and paint the picture through those words. The copy is simply a catalogue of all the human rights infringements that have been recorded by the United Nations in the last decade alone. The images are from various corners of the globe, touching on human rights issues such as rape, imprisonment, and human testing. The design is intended to be simple and to the point. The choice of keeping all images and type in grayscale means that production would be cheap and not place strain on the already tight budget of a not-for-profit organization like Witness.
