I went to college for journalism minor in political science. After school I worked as a general assignment reporter and anchor in Minnesota, Georgia and San Diego. In San Diego the news program aired on CNN every half hour. I transitioned into newspaper also as a general assignment reporter and covered north San Diego County including Camp Pendleton. This positon developed into becoming the papers military reporter and covered local angles and stories on 9/11, war in Afghanistan and invasion of Iraq at Camp Pendleton. I also have obtained multiple licenses in finance and worked for five years in the finance industry as a source of additional income. My education and hands on experience in finance allows me to write with authority and knowledge on the subject matter. I enjoy the research, creativity and at times the challenge that goes into developing a story. As a people person I have a talent to get people comfortable and open up during an interview. My experiences have led to an ability to write on a plethora of subjects from family, divorce, motherhood, military life, women issues, financial concerns, real estate etc. Clear and direct communication is my goal.
