HELB Loan Application and Management System Kenya
- The client wanted a loan application and management system for education loans issued by the government of Kenya under HELB (Higher Education Loans Board). The system was supposed to allow students to apply, see loan disbursement/statement/status/balance details and help system administrators to manage different users. The system was also supposed to help in HELB receive payments for loans, see loan defaulters and help in loan recovery.\n- My role was to develop the back-end system, that involved database design and coding and also the implementation of payment modules\n- The system is currently serving more than 200,000 students in Kenya, 5000 employers and other government agencies.
