Competition Urban design
Potsdam is interwoven with natural areas that are interconnected, including the area chosen to be a part of this composition. Our Proposal develops individual neighborhoods that are surrounded by city parks and open spaces. On each side of the Havel river different urban scenarios are imagined. The shore to the east largely retains its scenic character. New vistas of the opposing city's waterfront will be created. Bridges and squares are used to connect the two shores. The promenade along the southern center of the Havel combines the attached districts of the city, starting with the headland south of the pleasure garden and ending at the theater of Potsdam. With the help of the city's promenade, new public spaces will be developed. The former channel will be restored, thus allowing the city to grow closer to the water. I am an architect (graduated 2008 Diplom and Master 2012) and web designer. I worked in several architecture offices worldwide on competitions, housing and commercial buildings.
