I am currently a stay-at-home mother of four. I’ve always dreamed about being a writer or author, but aside from one poem that has been published, my dream has fallen short due to life getting busy. In high school, I took the courses: Creative Writing; Short Story Writing; and Journalism, where I wrote articles involving discussions and events going on in our school and in the community. I loved every single minute that I was in those classrooms and letting my creativity shine. I graduated from college in 2012 with my Associates degree in Business Management, Accounting, and Property Tax Management. I really wish that I could tell you that this degree has gotten me far in life, but that would be untruthful. I have worked in retail for most of my life. Mostly in the management field. However, in these positions, I did learn a lot about how a business runs and functions, and all the little, tiny details that must be done, or they can create monstrous consequences. Aside from retail, I’ve worked a lot of secretarial positions, doing all your basic secretarial duties; answering and transferring phone calls, taking messages, making schedules, filing, picking up and sending out mail, answering and sending out emails, etc. One of the positions I held was being the Mayor’s assistant and secretary. I’m only putting this in here because I’m very proud of it. I excel in grammar, punctuation, spelling, and editing. I’m also good at writing formats, resumes, and cover letters. People have told me that I write well, and I would like to believe it’s true.
