Semi arid areas are thought to be uncomfortable and inhabitable. However, these areas are rich of animals and plants that have defied the forces of nature such as water, food, and nutrient scarcity. In this picture are trees that can only be found in the arid and semi-arid areas. In order to survive in this environment, the trees have thorns and "thorny leaves". Their roots go deep into the ground to get water and the necessary nutrients. The picture is a representation of the beauty of semi arid areas.
