I was born in Littleton, CO and Started playing guitar in 1964. I played first professional gig on Labor Day weekend 1969. Created “Paradox” Rock Jazz band and won 3rd place in Denver battle of the bands in 1973. Studied Martial Arts, Taught in the Navy in Hawaii and fought open style. After joining the Navy as a Computer Engineer in 1973, I Graduated the Navy’s Data Systems extensive 6 days a week, plus 3 nights of College classes at night for 3 days a week, training in 1975. I was in Viet Nam when Saigon fell in 1975 on the USS Reaves CG-24. Upon my transfer to my new duty station, I entered a Guitar contest in Norfolk, VA in 1977 that looking for the best guitarist in the area and won. I am a plank owner on the USS Eisenhower CVN-69 that was commissioned in 1977. I became the Ships Band director, for my last 2 years in the service, performing all over the Mediterranean Sea area with the USO. While at sea I wrote a Music Dissertation on the Mathematics of Music and self published it. Got out of the Navy in September 1979 and returned to Denver for about a year to figure out what to do with my life. I moved to Los Angeles as a CAD/CAM, Computer Aided Drafting and Manufacturing, Computer Field Engineer as a day gig to allow me to develop my Music Career in 1981. While working as a Session Guitarist in LA from 1981 to 1991, I did numerous sessions for various artists and studios in the Los Angeles area including Motown artists through Rodney Gordy, Barry Gordy’s son, for two years. I designed custom digital automation devices for local recording studios until landing a Recording Engineering and Guitarist gig at Screen Music Studios in Studio City. I work my way up to Production Manager in 1988 and work there until 1991. I was a pioneered Digital Technology using the Diaxis Direct to Disk Digital Recording System, a state of the art system based on the Mac II Computer Platform. My digital works won numerous awards including a Grammy nomination in 1991 for Wilson Phillips Vocal single “Release Me”. I left LA to get into Network Engineering in 1991 after realizing that I was not happy working in the cut throat Music Business and it was affecting my create musical direction in a very negative way. I was married in June 1993 to Wendy after meeting her at my brother’s birthday party in February 2002. My wife and I created Celtic Productions Consulting Company in 1993 and Development Technologies Limited in 1996 for supporting the Big 6 Consulting firms with selected teams for Technology deployments and Development projects. While I was in Colorado Springs in 1995, I entered a Radio Station sponsored Guitar Contest in Colorado Springs. They were looking for the best guitarist in Colorado Springs and won it. This landed me a position in a local band that really never went anywhere. I continued to work as a Musician and Technology Consultant for companies like Intel, Fujitsu, EDS, MCI, Bechtel, Amdahl, Levi Straus, and others until taking a Chief Technology Officer position at CompuNet Services, an Arizona based Credit reporting company for the Trucking Industry. The company was sold to conglomerate in 2005 and all senior management roles were collapsed into their corporate offices. I then went back to Consulting until I took a position at VIP Connectz as Vice President of Technology after consulting for nine months in 2008. I am head of Development initiatives for Web Technology and IT at this time. I have no Children but hold the “Step Dad” role to three step daughters and nine grandchildren. I am the human father to a stubborn Basset Hound, “Rufus” and a terrorist Rat Terrier “Cali” and I am barely tolerated by Wendy’s cats. I have composed hundreds of songs with over 50 produced and available on MP3. I work on new tunes daily and will be creating Rhinohead Radio on [login to view URL] soon. I am looking for a Big Band to play in the Nashville, TN area at this time and artists to collaborate with on new material in various genres.
