I find some of the greatest and most innovative designs to be grounded in simplicity. In my own art simplicity is not something to look down upon but something to strive for. Complex designs can be done well but an effective simple design is a beautiful thing. For me the ability to construe an idea and show it exactly as envisioned is the most important skill of an artist. I have found that even in a world constantly moving towards a digital medium a refined skill and study in traditional methods has brought me where I am today.
