My Inferno

"My Inferno" was a poem I wrote part of the final grade for Kathleen Pierce's poetry class. The form of it had to be inspired by an author in the course's textbook whom I chose to be Walt Whitman. After Professor Pierce reviewed it and handed it back to me with comments, she thought the poem was especially unique because I used the concept of "Dante's Inferno" and incorporated it into a personal event in my life.
