Vector based Prosodic System for Language Identification using Sphinx (Course project EE627 13’-14’):- • Built an automatic language recognition system that extracts prosody information from speech and makes decisions about the language with a generative classifier based on I-Vectors. • Prosodic features like rhythm, stress, and intonation, pitch and energy contours extracted by using OpenSmile libraries were used to model standard I-Vectors for language identification. • A generative Gaussian model for each of the languages with a co variance matrix used as the classifier.
