All my life I've been told that I have a way with words and have oftentimes served as a sort of go to guy for friends that need some writing, editing, or philosophic inspiration. I have always wanted to write for a living but have never quite known where to begin, or what to write about. I'm well-educated and acquainted with scientific and business/economics issues and jargon; as well as well versed in historical, and up to speed on current events. I'm gainfully employed and paid well for what I do. What I do wouldn't necessarily be my first choice if I had one. I know I can write, but am unsure how quickly (I'm a bit of a perfectionist and do not like shoddy work); or if I will find a tradeoff between doing something that I genuinely enjoy for possibly less money (ideally I would make a $$$$load of money) than doing something that I find less enjoyable, but paid more.
